WIP Wednesday {2.22.2012}

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

This week has not left much room for sewing, and the sad thing is there is nothing super exciting to report that I was doing instead!  Oh the hum drum ins and outs of every day life...

No new finishes this week, but a few goings on down in my sewing room, here's what I've been working on:

New Projects

this or that?

I've been playing around with my leftover HSTs from my swoon blocks, and just couldn't settle on a design.  One or two of these layouts will become a set of pillows, and thanks to everyone's input, I've decided to definitely make the top right design.  As for the second pillow, I think the only logical solution is to whip up some more HSTs and make all of the other three  designs!  I'm kidding, but it's so hard to choose!  I'm leaning towards the top left as well, but we'll see.

I feel like I have been working on this quilt forever, and I'm at the point where I just want it to be done!  Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love everything about it, but it's been So. Slow. Going.  Argh.  Hopefully by the weekend I'll have a finished quilt to share!

Sparkle Punch Mini - I've finished all the hand quilting and this little guy just needs some binding, should be finished soon!

  3. Ooh, I love the fabric you chose for your HST pillows. So bright and vibrant! And what a beautiful Swoon block! I'm assuming it's the back. I think I remember you saying you were going to put a huge one on the back. That will give you a reversible quilt. What a great idea! You are almost there with the swoon quilt. Hang in there. I can't wait to see it. It will be beautiful.

  4. Beautiful stuff!! The HST block you chose for a pillow (top right) is very similar to one that I used: http://craftingdotdotdot.blogspot.com/2011/11/hometown-throw-pillow-2.html

    I'm looking forward to seeing your sparkle punch mini as well.

    Have a wonderful day!!

  6. Hi! All your projects are so beautiful! It's sure difficult to choose from those four - could you make all of them for two pillows!
    I'm happy to see that you sew with Husqvarna!

    As for your Swoon, it's looking great so far, the end is nearly in sight!

  8. I can't wait to see the finished swoon quilt! Good luck on the weekend quilting! I'm another vote for the top left pillow. They all look great though, so I can understand why it is a struggle to decide!

  9. Love all of your ideas for the leftover HST's - I am still making my Swoon blocks but seeing the pile of HST's growing from the geese is distracting me:)
