Happy Wednesday! We were off visiting this cutie for the weekend, so I don't have a ton to show off, but here goes!
Completed Projects
Zippy Pouches
I finished up all ten of these fun little zippy pouches and used my rainbow zippers I posted about here. Again, cannot gush enough about this way of installing zippers.
New Projects
Ruffle-y Apron
I picked up this little book of apron patterns at Joann's on a whim one day, and am working on the ruffley pattern on the left (please excuse the excessive glare on this picture). I honestly didn't think I'd have anything to show for WIP Wednesday. After cutting out the pattern pieces for this apron, I thought, "wow! This won't take me more than an hour or two to finish up!" Not so much. At midnight, four hours later, I was still not finished and decided to hang up my sewing hat for the night.
Here's a sneaky peek of what is completed...I'll spare you the saga for another day, but after leaving this for the night, and reassessing in the morning light, I have decided to make some pattern adjustments and am much closer to finished than I thought.
In Progress
DWR
Yes, this is the exact picture I shared last week, and it actually hasn't moved from its place on my design wall. I just like looking at it, and thought I'd add it to this post. I suppose it is still a "Work in Progress". I do plan on working on this as project numero uno this week, so hopefully there will be more to share next time!

Love those ruffles!!! I am dreadful at making ruffles :) Your rainbow of pouches is so cute!
ReplyDeleteCute little pouches! And I still <3 your DWR, regardless of lack of progress. I'd sit and stare at it, too!
ReplyDeleteI love the rainbow pouches! So cute!
ReplyDeleteI have done little with ruffles, but yours are really cute! I love the quilt on your design wall!
ReplyDeleteCute ruffles! Those pouches are great! Wow! I am loving that design wall! My Cathedral Window quilt has been intimidating me. Hopefully we will have nice progress to share next week. :)
ReplyDeletehaha! Love that your DWR is the same picture as last week. I've been tempted to do that to with my photos. Love the ruffles on the apron. They really are time consuming aren't they? I've done them on little girl clothes and always am surprised at how long they take.
ReplyDeleteLove those zipper pouches! They're so bright & cheerful. I missed the progress on your DWR last week, so to me it looks like you've gotten a lot done on it! ;) Either way, it's looking great.
ReplyDeleteBookmarking the zippered pouch tutorial! I have definitely had one of "those" projects recently. Such a bummer. I'm confident that you'll power through though! The little sneak peak is looking fun :)
ReplyDeleteThose pouches are wonderful! And I like the DWR, too--I hadn't seen it last week, so I'm glad you included it! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pouches! Thanks so much for the link to the zipper tutorial. I have wondered about how to sew those better!
ReplyDeleteOh I'm so glad I'm not the only one that cuts something out and thinks 'och, that won't take long' and is still battling with the blinking thing 4 or 5 hours later lol
ReplyDeleteThe rainbow pouches look very cute!
ReplyDeleteThose zippy pouches are a real gift to your cousin - nice.
ReplyDeleteThe DWR is so pretty, I can definitely look at another picture of it. : ) Those ruffly aprons look really fun, I'm looking forward to seeing that. Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteYour projects are looking great! The DWR is going to be wonderful!
