WIP Wednesday {9.14.2011}

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

A mildly delayed WIP Wednesday post, but a post none the less!  Here's whats new:

Completed Projects

I managed to finish up my mini quilt and extras this weekend, and this package is on its way to its new home as we speak!  More about this here.

In Progress

Secret Pillow Swap

My lips are pretty sealed with this project here.  My new quilty email friend Ann and I have decided to do a secret pillow swap just between the two of us.  I'm having so much fun playing with the colors she is using in her new living room, above is a sneaky peek of pillow #1.  You'll have to wait a few more weeks to see anything else, but I am super excited about them!

Birdie Stitches

Birdie Stitches-Block #4

I finished up April's block for the Birdie Stitches QAL, and added a little something extra to the design.  I just love these blocks, and am quickly becoming addicted to embroidery!  Such a great take along project, and perfect for vegging on the couch with!

FWQAL 1-31

I only got around  to making one more block this week, and thought it silly to post about just one block.  I'll lump it in with next weeks post, but here's what I have so far!  Blocks 1-31.

AB Weekender Bag

No new progress to report.  Unless you count cutting out the pattern pieces from the templates.  I suppose that's technically step one of the directions...hopefully more progress this week!

  1. Everything is beautiful, but! It is totally delish, and I can only hope!

  2. I checked out to see Ann's blog and then almost forgot to come back. Oops. Your chevron quilt top is so cute and I love the clutch, and also the added touches to Birdie Stitches. VERY cute. I'm having a hard time keeping up with just the regular Birdie Stitches patterns, let alone adding cute details.

  3. Oooh, I can't wait to see the finished pillow, the sneak peek is fabulous!!! I can't wait to see your partner's reaction to your super fab FTLOS package :)

  4. Loving where your'e going with your projects. Your birdie is adorable!

  5. Lots of 'consolidation' happening! Embroidery is such a great 'take along' project! Your birdie is cute! And the sneak preview is going to be lovely!

  6. I'm really diggin your farmers wife blocks. They all blend do nicely together. And of course your other projects look great too.

  7. Great job. And I'd count cutting out an AB pattern as something, they take forever!

  8. Great job on the FTLOC mini! And I love your birdie stitches! I can't wait to see that pillow!

  9. I love what you did with the solids quilt (or whatever it is). cAn't wait to see the whole thing. :) And yes - I would count cutting the pieces for the weekender. That's a lot of pieces!!

  10. I am totally in love with your mini quilt for the solids swap. Love the colors, zigzags, everything!! The whole package looks great. You have a lucky partner!

  11. Love the mini quilt too, it's stunning. The peek of the pillow is intriguing, I can't wait to see the rest of it.

  12. Oooh, super intrigued by the pillow. This seems to be the week for sneak peaks of secret projects! Can't wait to see more! And I am just so in love with the solids mini quilt. Such a cool take on zig zags.

Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday. : )
